Paducah Chiefs lost the lead late in a 5-2 defeat to Muhlenberg County Stallions on Thursday. The game was tied at two with Muhlenberg County Stallions batting in the top of the seventh when Brandon Scheurer doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring three runs.

Paducah Chiefs got things moving in the first inning. Cade Rogers drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the top of the sixth inning, Muhlenberg County Stallions tied things up at two when Bentley Boekhout tripled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

Jaydon Stephens pitched Muhlenberg County Stallions to victory. The right-hander allowed two hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. Nathan McKissick threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. McKissick recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for Muhlenberg County Stallions.

Ben Higdon took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. The righty lasted three innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out three.

Jacob Kisting started the game for Paducah Chiefs. The pitcher surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings, striking out six Dom Pieto started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The righty went three innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out two

Brant Brown went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits. Paducah Chiefs didn't commit a single error in the field. Rogers had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Scheurer led Muhlenberg County Stallions with two hits in four at-bats.
