Madisonville Miners stayed in it until the end, but Muhlenberg County Stallions pulled away late in a 10-8 victory on Wednesday. The game was tied at eight with Muhlenberg County Stallions batting in the top of the sixth when Parker Stroh homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Despite the loss, Madisonville Miners did collect nine hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Muhlenberg County Stallions had nine hits on the way to victory.

Muhlenberg County Stallions opened up scoring in the first inning, when Bentley Boekhout singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

After Muhlenberg County Stallions scored two runs in the top of the fifth, Madisonville Miners answered with two of their own. Muhlenberg County Stallions scored when Colin Cornwell doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs. Madisonville Miners then answered when Reed Latimer singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Madisonville Miners put up three runs in the third inning. Madisonville Miners scored its runs on an RBI double by Justin Lauersdorf.

Derek Bolander took the win for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The pitcher went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out one and walking zero. Nathan McKissick threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Hunter Davis took the loss for Madisonville Miners. The righty went one-third of an inning, allowing two runs on one hit, striking out one and walking zero.

Isaac Rose started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The southpaw lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out three Ian Craigie started the game for Madisonville Miners. The righthander went three innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out two

Madisonville Miners tallied nine hits in the game. Evan Liddie and Latimer each had multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Liddie went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Madisonville Miners in hits.

Mason Lundgrin led Muhlenberg County Stallions with two hits in four at bats.
