Franklin Duelers Clings To Victory As Paducah Chiefs Nearly Erases 5-Run Deficit

Franklin Duelers built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Paducah Chiefs's charge for a 5-4 victory on Saturday. Paducah Chiefs scored four runs in the failed comeback. Sam FaganZach Reynolds, and Brant Brown all picked up RBIs in the rally.

Franklin Duelers notched four runs in the fourth inning. Franklin Duelers's big inning was driven by a single by Payton Walsh, by Jack Rando, and a home run by Davis Burick.

Rylan Thomas got the start for Franklin Duelers. The ace lasted five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out four.

Mason Malone was on the pitcher's mound for Paducah Chiefs. The righty surrendered five runs on eight hits over eight innings, striking out ten and walking one.

Franklin Duelers hit one home run on the day. Burick had a four bagger in the fourth inning.
