Fulton Railroaders Storm Back To Defeat Madisonville Miners
Madisonville Miners got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jace Parnin homered to center field, Brayden Taylor singled, and Fulton Railroaders committed an error, each scoring one run.
An error extended the Madisonville Miners lead to 4-0 in the top of the second inning.
Fulton Railroaders tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to an error, and a sacrifice fly by Dom Maldet.
In the bottom of the seventh, Fulton Railroaders broke up the tie when Drake DeFreitas singled, scoring two runs. Then an error followed to extend the lead to 8-5.
DeFreitas earned the win for Fulton Railroaders. They surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking none. Schon Pespisa took the loss for Madisonville Miners. The reliever went three and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking one. Brady Gardner started on the hill for Fulton Railroaders. The lefty gave up six hits and five runs (three earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out three and walking two. Daniel Parris led things off on the bump for Madisonville Miners. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and three runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking two.
