Henderson Flash Stifle Paducah Chiefs In Shutout

Henderson Flash defeated Paducah Chiefs 8-0 on Tuesday at 2011 North Elm Street as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Kiefer Parsons, Dylan Turner, and J.D. Willis each pitched for Henderson Flash in the game. Willis induced a groundout from Brady Grabowski to get the last out.

Henderson Flash got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Ellis Hurt doubled, and Nate York singled, each scoring one run.

Henderson Flash added one run in the second after Logan Lacey doubled.

A sacrifice fly by Taylor Head extended the Henderson Flash lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Turner earned the win for Henderson Flash. The reliever surrendered two hits and zero runs over three and one-third innings, striking out five and walking none. Parker Price took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. The left-handed pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs on eight hits, striking out one and walking four. Parsons started on the mound for Henderson Flash. The southpaw gave up one hit and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three. Willis tossed two innings of no-run ball for Henderson Flash in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking one.

Henderson Flash piled up 11 hits in the game. York led Henderson Flash with three hits in five at bats. Lacey, Hurt, and Aidan Mouton each drove in two runs for Henderson Flash. Crawford Courville collected two hits for Henderson Flash in four at bats. Henderson Flash had a strong eye at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Lacey and Dane DeWees led the team with two bases on balls each. DeWees stole two bases. Henderson Flash stole five bases in the game.

Price, Grabowski, and Will Gibbs each collected one hit for Paducah Chiefs. Paducah Chiefs were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Kyle Hayes had the most chances in the field with nine.
