Henderson Flash Walk It Off 4-3 Versus Hoptown Hoppers
Henderson Flash took Sunday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Hoptown Hoppers. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the ninth when Brock Lummus doubled, scoring one run.
Hoptown Hoppers got on the board in the top of the third inning after John Kiebler singled, scoring one run, and Kolby Webb grounded out, scoring two runs.
Logan Lacey singled on the sixth pitch of the at-bat, which helped Henderson Flash tie the game at three in the bottom of the eighth.
Zach Lawson earned the win for Henderson Flash. The reliever surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Logan Haslam led things off on the hill for Henderson Flash. They gave up two hits and three runs (one earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking none. Jordan Gonzalez stepped on the mound first for Hoptown Hoppers. The righty gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three. Aidan Mouton tossed two and one-third innings of shutout ball for Henderson Flash in relief. They gave up zero hits, striking out four and walking two.
Andrew Lee, Lacey, Dane DeWees, Taylor Head, Lummus, and Tyson LeBlanc each collected one hit for Henderson Flash. Lee and Lummus each drove in one run for Henderson Flash.
Sam Perkins, Esteban Sepulveda, and Kiebler each collected one hit for Hoptown Hoppers. Webb and Kiebler each drove in one run for Hoptown Hoppers.
Henderson Flash will travel to Paducah Chiefs for their next game on Monday.
