Paducah Chiefs Rally Defeats Hoptown Hoppers 9-7

Parker Price collected three hits in three at bats in the win. Price doubled in the sixth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

Hoptown Hoppers jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Brayden Blevins drew a walk, scoring one run, Esteban Sepulveda tripled, scoring three runs, and Jordan Gonzalez grounded out, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a double by Ben Brombaugh, and a fielder's choice by Colin McClure.

A single by Sepulveda gave Hoptown Hoppers the lead, 7-6, in the top of the sixth.

Paducah Chiefs took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning after David Limbach hit a sacrifice fly, Luke Dymond singled, and Hoptown Hoppers committed an error, each scoring one run.

Hayden Alexander earned the win for Paducah Chiefs. They surrendered three hits and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Aaditya Sur took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. They went one inning, surrendering four runs on three hits, striking out one and walking two. Chance Moscardelli stepped on the bump first for Paducah Chiefs. The right-handed pitcher gave up six hits and five runs over three innings, striking out five and walking three. Gavin Lake started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. The right-handed pitcher gave up six hits and four runs over four innings, striking out two and walking four. Jack McLaury collected the save. Klayton Wright appeared in relief for Paducah Chiefs.

Paducah Chiefs collected 13 hits in the game. Brombaugh and Price each collected three hits for Paducah Chiefs. Dymond and Brombaugh were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Paducah Chiefs. Ayden Terry collected two hits for Paducah Chiefs in four at bats. Nathan Lang led Paducah Chiefs with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Brombaugh stole two bases. Paducah Chiefs stole four bases in the game. Paducah Chiefs were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Limbach had the most chances in the field with 11.

Hoptown Hoppers accumulated 12 hits in the game. Braden Pingel, Jacob Bly, Hadley Smith, Gonzalez, Sepulveda, and John Kiebler each collected two hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Sepulveda led Hoptown Hoppers with four runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day.

Paducah Chiefs play a doubleheader at home on Saturday against Madisonville Miners, while the Hoppers host the Railroaders at HHS Tiger Field.
