Fulton Railroaders Beat Henderson Flash In Game 2

Fulton Railroaders were triumphant over Henderson Flash 5-1 on Thursday.

A ground out by Nate York put Henderson Flash on the board in the top of the first.

In the bottom of the first inning, Fulton Railroaders went back into the lead after Charlie Ferbet singled, Cole Sims was struck by a pitch, and Cade Spaulding walked, each scoring one run.

Silas Jones earned the win for Fulton Railroaders. They surrendered four hits and one run over six innings, striking out six and walking one. Brady Watts took the loss for Henderson Flash. They went four innings, giving up three runs on five hits, striking out four and walking one. Carson Cochran tossed one inning of shutout ball for Fulton Railroaders in relief. They surrendered zero hits, striking out one and walking none.

Fulton Railroaders amassed nine hits in the game. Andres Aybar seized on their opportunities, leading Fulton Railroaders with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Garner Anderson, Aybar, and Kanon Lewis each collected two hits for Fulton Railroaders. Fulton Railroaders stole five bases in the game.

Andrew Lee, Colton Evans, Taylor Head, and Ellis Hurt each collected one hit for Henderson Flash. York led Henderson Flash with one run batted in.  Henderson Flash turned one double play in the game. Henderson Flash were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Brock Lummus made the most plays with seven.

Next up for Fulton Railroaders is a game at Hoptown Hoppers on Saturday, and the Flash host the Miners on Friday.
