Flash Over Railroaders 5-3 in Henderson
Henderson Flash were triumphant over Fulton Railroaders 5-3 on Saturday.
Fulton Railroaders opened the scoring in the first after Jonathon Walsh grounded out, scoring one run.
Fulton Railroaders committed an error, which helped Henderson Flash tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
Henderson Flash captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the third after Tyson LeBlanc doubled, and Logan Lacey singled, each scoring one run.
J.D. Willis earned the win for Henderson Flash. The left-handed pitcher allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Mitt Landers took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. They went four innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on six hits, striking out five and walking one. Kiefer Parsons collected the save.
Henderson Flash amassed nine hits in the game. Lacey, Ellis Hurt, and LeBlanc each collected two hits for Henderson Flash. Lacey, Hurt, Aidan Mouton, and LeBlanc each drove in one run for Henderson Flash. Henderson Flash had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Mouton and Nate York led the team with two walks each.
Walsh led Fulton Railroaders with two runs batted in. Andres Aybar led Fulton Railroaders with two hits in four at bats. Cade Spaulding stole two bases.
Next up for Henderson Flash is a game at Madisonville Miners on Sunday, while the Railroaders get a day off before hosting Hoptown on Monday night.
