Grand Slam Walkoff in Fulton

The game was tied at nine in the bottom of the tenth when Mason Cook hit a grand slam to right field.

Cook drove in five runners in the win. The right fielder went 3-6 on the day.

Madisonville Miners opened the scoring in the first after a steal of home scored one run.

Madisonville Miners added one run in the second. Brady Cooper grounded out, making the score 2-0.

A ground out by Fred Fernandez extended the Madisonville Miners lead to 3-1 in the top of the third inning.

Madisonville Miners scored six runs on five hits in the top of the fifth inning. Oliver Clark singled, scoring one run, Cooper singled, scoring one run, Jace Parnin doubled, scoring two runs, and Fernandez doubled, scoring two runs.

Charlie Ferbet hit a solo home run to right field in the bottom of the seventh for the Fulton Railroaders.

Fulton Railroaders scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the eighth inning. Cole Sims homered to right field, scoring three runs, Ferbet doubled, scoring two runs, and Diego Duque singled, scoring one run.

Rhett Edwards led things off on the hill for Fulton Railroaders. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and eight runs (seven earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking four. Holden Groher stepped on the mound first for Madisonville Miners. The righty surrendered four hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out two and walking four. Drake Defreites, Mitt Landers, and Erich Radzinski each came on in relief for Fulton Railroaders and shutdown Madisonville Miners.

Fulton Railroaders piled up 13 hits in the game. Cade Spaulding, Daniel Irizarry, Ferbet, and Sims each collected multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders. Fulton Railroaders had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Duque and Ferbet led the team with two bases on balls each. Garner Anderson stole two bases.

Madisonville Miners accumulated nine hits in the game. Parnin, Fernandez, and Clark each collected two hits for Madisonville Miners. Parnin, Fernandez, and Cooper each drove in two runs for Madisonville Miners. Preston Bedford paced Madisonville Miners with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Bedford stole two bases. Madisonville Miners stole five bases in the game.
