Louisville Jockeys Holds Off Henderson Flash For Victory

Despite seeing its five-run lead whittled down by the end, Louisville Jockeys still held off Henderson Flash for a 6-5 victory on Friday. Henderson Flash scored four runs in the failed comeback on a fielder's choice by Ellis Hurt, a single by Charlie Rife, a double by Luke Scales, and a walk by Logan Lacey.

Henderson Flash scored four runs in the seventh inning, but Louisville Jockeys still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Henderson Flash came thanks to a walk by Lacey, a single by Rife, a fielder's choice by Hurt, and a double by Scales.

Louisville Jockeys got things moving in the first inning, when Max Lane singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Louisville Jockeys scored three runs in the sixth inning. Cade Moore had an RBI error in the inning to lead the run scoring.

Gavin Gentry was credited with the victory for Louisville Jockeys. Gentry lasted six innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out three and walking one. David Edwards and Kaden Wise entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Nick Coleman took the loss for Henderson Flash. The lefthander allowed five hits and three runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five.

Louisville Jockeys tallied nine hits on the day. Louis Hess, Alex Yurt, and William Lybrook each collected multiple hits for Louisville Jockeys. Lybrook, Yurt, and Hess each managed two hits to lead Louisville Jockeys.

Jacob Lester went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Henderson Flash in hits.
