Hood's Walk-Off Picture Perfect Ending In Hoptown Hoppers's Victory Over Bowling Green Pistons

Hoptown Hoppers seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off at the end of the game to topple Bowling Green Pistons. The game was tied at 11 with Hoptown Hoppers batting in the bottom of the ninth when Carter Hood was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Hoptown Hoppers collected 13 hits and Bowling Green Pistons had nine.

Hoptown Hoppers captured the lead in the second inning when Tate VanHooser singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Bowling Green Pistons knotted the game up at 11 in the top of the eighth inning. Thomas Barnhart drew a walk, scoring one run.

After Bowling Green Pistons scored two runs in the top of the fourth, Hoptown Hoppers answered with two of their own. Bowling Green Pistons scored when Zen Hiatt doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Charlie Teel singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Hoptown Hoppers then answered when Robert Estrada homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Hoptown Hoppers scored five runs in the second inning. Hoptown Hoppers offense in the inning was led by John Keibler, Luis Vergara, VanHooser, and Estrada, who all drove in runs.

Bowling Green Pistons scored four runs in the third inning. Bowling Green Pistons scored its runs on a fielder's choice by Jorey Anderson.

Cannon Anthony earned the win for Hoptown Hoppers. The righthander surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out two and walking zero. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Jacob Dilday, Steven Jones, Jaxon McTyre, and Ethan Davis all securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Justin Crews took the loss for Bowling Green Pistons. The hurler surrendered five runs on four hits over three and a third innings, striking out five.

Malcolm Rollon started the game for Bowling Green Pistons. The bulldog allowed nine hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out four Caden Wilburn started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. The lefthander went two innings, allowing six runs on two hits and striking out one

Hoptown Hoppers hit one home run on the day. Estrada had a dinger in the fourth inning.

Hoptown Hoppers racked up 13 hits on the day. Vergara, VanHooser, Sam Perkins, Estrada, and Stephen Bell all managed multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Vergara led Hoptown Hoppers with three hits in five at bats.

Bowling Green Pistons totaled nine hits in the game. Teel, Hiatt, Barnhart, and Donnell Sandifer each racked up multiple hits for Bowling Green Pistons.
