Hoptown Hoppers Claims Blow Out Win Over Dubois County Bombers Thanks To Third Inning Boost

Hoptown Hoppers defeated Dubois County Bombers 9-2 on Sunday thanks to a timely seven runs in a big third inning. Robert Estrada and Manuel Villalobos powered the big inning with RBIs.

Dubois County Bombers got things started in the second inning. Kaden Hurless drove in one when Hurless singled.

Hoptown Hoppers pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Estrada was struck by a pitch, driving in a run and Villalobos homered on a 0-2 count, scoring four runs.

John Girard took the win for Hoptown Hoppers. The southpaw allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one. Dylan Eaton, Myles Green, and Jacob Dilday all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Stone Silver took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. Silver allowed two hits and seven runs over three innings, striking out three.

Brady Ginaven started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. The righty allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four

Hoptown Hoppers smacked one home run on the day. Villalobos had a four bagger in the third inning.

Chase Cummings went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Hoptown Hoppers in hits.
