Bingham's Walk-Off Gives Paducah Chiefs Victory Over Hoptown Hoppers

It came down to the wire on Saturday, with Paducah Chiefs taking victory on a dramatic walk-off error in the late innings that sealed their victory over Hoptown Hoppers. The game was tied at six with Paducah Chiefs batting in the bottom of the ninth when an error scored one run for Paducah Chiefs.

Paducah Chiefs collected 11 hits and Hoptown Hoppers had seven in the high-scoring affair.

Paducah Chiefs opened up scoring in the first inning, when Gunnar Bingham singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

In the top of the eighth inning, Hoptown Hoppers tied things up at six. Luis Villalba grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in one run.

Jordon Eaton pitched Paducah Chiefs to victory. The bulldog went one-third of an inning, allowing zero runs on one hit and walking zero. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Jackson Pittman, David Limbach, Luke Shelton, and Mitchell Henneberry all securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Jacob Dilday took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out three and walking one.

Brady Ginaven started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. The righthander went six innings, allowing five runs on eight hits, striking out eight and walking zero Cory Cissell started the game for Paducah Chiefs. The pitcher lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out one

Paducah Chiefs had 11 hits in the game. Sam Kestranek and Bingham each had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Kestranek went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.

Hoptown Hoppers totaled seven hits. Robert Estrada and Luis Vergara all had multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers.
