Hoptown Hoppers Blows Out Paducah Chiefs
Hoptown Hoppers coasted to an easy victory over Paducah Chiefs 14-3 on Tuesday
Hoptown Hoppers got things moving in the first inning when Kailen Hamson's wild pitch allowed one run to score for Hoptown Hoppers.
Hoptown Hoppers notched six runs in the third inning. Jacob Dupps, Sean Sullivan, and Ren Tachioka all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
David Ernst earned the victory on the hill for Hoptown Hoppers. The righty surrendered three runs on six hits over five innings, striking out one and walking one. Marcus Goodpaster, Jacob Dilday, and Cody Hupp all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Hamson took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. The hurler lasted two innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out two.
Hoptown Hoppers launched two home runs on the day. Sullivan had a dinger in the eighth inning. Tachioka had a homer in the sixth inning.
Hoptown Hoppers racked up 16 hits in the game. Luis Vergara-Schoonewolf, Tachioka, Dupps, William Spear, and Sullivan all managed multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Tachioka and Vergara-Schoonewolf each collected three hits to lead Hoptown Hoppers.
Paducah Chiefs totaled eight hits. Slater Schield and Gage Griggs all had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Paducah Chiefs was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Krayton Morse had the most chances in the field with eight.
