Hoptown Hoppers Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Fulton Railroaders

Hoptown Hoppers ran off with the lead late in the game in a 14-4 victory over Fulton Railroaders on Friday. Hoptown Hoppers was down 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Anthony Zarlingo doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Hoptown Hoppers earned the victory despite allowing Fulton Railroaders to score three runs in the first inning. Ryan Callahan and Brady Holloway all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Fulton Railroaders opened up scoring in the first inning. Fulton Railroaders scored two runs when Callahan homered.

Hoptown Hoppers tallied five runs in the seventh inning. Hoptown Hoppers' big bats were led by Zarlingo, Ren Tachioka, Joshua Rodriguez, and Drew Donaldson, who all drove in runs.

Chase Harlan earned the victory on the hill for Hoptown Hoppers. The pitcher went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out nine, and walking one.

Jordyn Naranjo took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. Naranjo surrendered four runs on four hits over one inning, striking out three.

Zach Duenas started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. The righty went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out seven Brooks Cooner started the game for Fulton Railroaders. The bulldog allowed seven hits and three runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one

Fulton Railroaders socked two home runs on the day. Callahan went yard in the first inning. Holloway went for the long ball in the first inning.

Hoptown Hoppers racked up 18 hits on the day. Sean Sullivan, Donaldson, Rodriguez, Connor Cornwell, Zarlingo, and Tachioka each collected multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Rodriguez, Donaldson, and Sullivan each managed three hits to lead Hoptown Hoppers.

Callahan led Fulton Railroaders with two hits in three at-bats.
