Muhlenberg County Stallions Walks Away Victorious Over Louisville Jockeys In High-Scoring Game, 10-8
Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between Muhlenberg County Stallions and Louisville Jockeys where Muhlenberg County Stallions prevailed 10-8.
Muhlenberg County Stallions opened up scoring in the first inning. Brennon Williams drew a walk, scoring one run.
After Louisville Jockeys scored one run in the top of the second, Muhlenberg County Stallions answered with one of their own. Louisville Jockeys scored when Joey Humphrey's sac fly scored one run for Louisville Jockeys. Muhlenberg County Stallions then answered when Kevin Sosa grounded out, scoring one run.
Muhlenberg County Stallions pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning.
Muhlenberg County Stallions put up three runs in the third inning. Muhlenberg County Stallions batters contributing to the big inning included Noah Phillips and Sosa, who all drove in runs.
CJ Johnson led the Muhlenberg County Stallions to victory on the hill. Johnson surrendered one run on two hits over one inning, walking one. Logan King and Noah Waltz entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. King recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Muhlenberg County Stallions.
