Dubois County Bombers Clinches Lead In Eighth Inning To Defeat Muhlenberg County Stallions

Dubois County Bombers snagged a late lead and defeated Muhlenberg County Stallions 6-5 on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with Dubois County Bombers batting in the bottom of the eighth when Chase Taylor's sac fly scored one run for Dubois County Bombers.

Muhlenberg County Stallions scored four runs in the sixth inning, but Dubois County Bombers still managed to pull out the victory. Logan Welch, Sam Pinckert, and Camden Fisher each had RBIs in the frame.

Muhlenberg County Stallions got things started in the second inning when Fisher grounded out, scoring one run.

Tavien Tigg was credited with the victory for Dubois County Bombers. Tigg went one-third of an inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits and walking zero. Cory Anderson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Anderson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.

Aaron Huibregtse took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The pitcher allowed three hits and four runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Grant Stratton started the game for Dubois County Bombers. The righty went seven and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on ten hits, striking out six, and walking one Kail Hill started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. Hill lasted six innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out nine and walking one

Dubois County Bombers collected eight hits. Josh Newton and Ryan Davis each racked up multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Davis and Newton all had two hits to lead Dubois County Bombers.

Muhlenberg County Stallions had ten hits in the game. Garrison Goins, Pinckert, Kevin Sosa, and Mack Clark each collected multiple hits for Muhlenberg County Stallions.
