Fulton Railroaders Falls To Muhlenberg County Stallions After Ninth Inning Score

Fulton Railroaders lost the lead late in an 8-5 defeat to Muhlenberg County Stallions on Monday. Muhlenberg County Stallions was down 5-4 in the top of the ninth inning when Justin Massingale homered on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs.

Fulton Railroaders lost despite out-hitting Muhlenberg County Stallions 11 to nine.

Fulton Railroaders got things moving in the first inning. An error scored one run for Fulton Railroaders.

Fulton Railroaders put up three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a single by Grant Davis and an error on a ball put in play by Braxton Baird.

Kail Hill was credited with the victory for Muhlenberg County Stallions. Hill lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one and walking zero. Tim Gooden and Aaron Huibregtse entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Brandon Jernigan took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. The hurler went two and a third innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out three.

Nate McKissick started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The right-hander lasted five innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out five and walking one Sam Poindexter started the game for Fulton Railroaders. Poindexter allowed three hits and two runs over six innings, striking out five

Fulton Railroaders socked one home run on the day. Wesley Mann had a long ball in the seventh inning.

Fulton Railroaders racked up 11 hits on the day. Landon Rogers, Davis, and Brady Holloway each had multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders. Rogers led Fulton Railroaders with three hits in five at-bats.

Muhlenberg County Stallions had nine hits in the game. Hill, Jaccar Watkins, and Massingale all collected multiple hits for Muhlenberg County Stallions.
