Hoptown Hoppers Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Fulton Railroaders fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-1 loss to Hoptown Hoppers on Sunday. Hoptown Hoppers took the lead on a single in the second inning.

In the second inning, Hoptown Hoppers got their offense started when Ren Tachioka singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Hoptown Hoppers scored three runs in the fourth inning. Hoptown Hoppers scored its runs on a home run by Tachioka.

Zach Duenas earned the victory on the hill for Hoptown Hoppers. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven. Jacob Dilday, Garrett Blevins, and Cody Hupp all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Jackson Shoulders took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. The hurler surrendered four runs on three hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four.

Hoptown Hoppers smacked two home runs on the day. Tachioka went deep in the fourth inning. Joshua Rodriguez had a homer in the seventh inning.

Parker Estes went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Fulton Railroaders in hits.

Hoptown Hoppers totaled seven hits. Connor Cornwell and Tachioka each had multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Cornwell led Hoptown Hoppers with three hits in four at-bats. Hoptown Hoppers didn't commit a single error in the field. Cornwell had the most chances in the field with 13.
