Hoptown Hoppers was victorious over Franklin Duelers, 4-1

Hoptown Hoppers got things moving in the first inning. Luis Vergara-Schoonewolf hit a solo homer.

Marcus Goodpaster earned the victory on the hill for Hoptown Hoppers. The right-hander surrendered one run on six hits over seven innings, striking out three and walking one. Aaron Moss threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Moss recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Hoptown Hoppers.

Jacob Hernandez took the loss for Franklin Duelers. The bulldog allowed nine hits and three runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one.

Hoptown Hoppers tallied two home runs on the day. Vergara-Schoonewolf had a dinger in the first and third innings.

Hoptown Hoppers racked up 11 hits. Vergara-Schoonewolf, Ren Tachioka, and Jacob Dupps each had multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Tachioka and Vergara-Schoonewolf each managed three hits to lead Hoptown Hoppers. Hoptown Hoppers tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Anthony Zarlingo led the way with two.

Franklin Duelers collected seven hits. Johnathon Evans and Rashard Grace each managed multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Evans led Franklin Duelers with three hits in five at-bats.
