Eight RBI Day For Ryan Callahan Seals The Deal In Fulton Railroaders's Victory Over Owensboro RiverDawgs

Ryan Callahan wasted no opportunities at the plate on Thursday, driving in eight on three hits to lead Fulton Railroaders past Owensboro RiverDawgs 20-3 on Thursday. Callahan drove in runs on a home run in the first, a grand slam in the second, and a home run in the sixth.

Fulton Railroaders grabbed an early lead. Fulton Railroaders scored on a home run by Ryan Lee in the first inning, a home run by Callahan in the first inning, a single by Landon Rogers in the second inning, and a grand slam by Callahan in the second inning.

Fulton Railroaders pulled away for good with six runs in the second inning. In the second Rogers singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, Lee was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, and Callahan homered on a 2-0 count, scoring four runs.

Fulton Railroaders put up six runs in the sixth inning. Blake Loper and Callahan all drove in runs in the frame.

Jacob Cekander led the Fulton Railroaders to victory on the hill. The bulldog allowed four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Drew Davis threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Davis recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Fulton Railroaders.

Garrett Whitticker took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. Whitticker lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and ten runs while striking out one.

Fulton Railroaders hit five home runs on the day. Callahan had a long ball in the first, second, and sixth innings. Parker Estes went yard in the third inning. Lee went deep in the first inning.

Fulton Railroaders racked up 15 hits on the day. Callahan, Garner Anderson, Jackson Shoulders, and Rogers all collected multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders. Callahan led Fulton Railroaders with three hits in four at-bats. Fulton Railroaders was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Matthew Meyer had the most chances in the field with seven.
