Louisville Jockeys Can't Hold Up Against Dubois County Bombers

Louisville Jockeys had trouble keeping up with Dubois County Bombers in a 16-4 loss on Thursday.

In the first inning, Dubois County Bombers got their offense started. Terrick Thompson grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the second inning, Louisville Jockeys tied things up at three. Louisville Jockeys scored two runs when Carson Boles singled.

Dubois County Bombers pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored two runs for Dubois County Bombers, Thompson singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Kasten Harvey singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Louisville Jockeys tallied three runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by Louisville Jockeys was led by Jonah Wichman and Boles, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Ethan Bell got the win for Dubois County Bombers. The righty went six innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out seven. Matthew Poe, Weston Allen, and Eli Steimel all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

John Fowler took the loss for Louisville Jockeys. The righty went three and a third innings, allowing five runs on five hits.

Austin Taylor, Wichman, Boles, Collin Goda, Jaret Humphrey, and Christopher Hund all had one hit to lead Louisville Jockeys.

Dubois County Bombers tallied 20 hits in the game. Josh Newton, Camden Gasser, Thompson, Victor Alvarez Martinez, Harvey, and Ryan Davis all managed multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Newton led Dubois County Bombers with four hits in six at-bats. Thompson led Dubois County Bombers with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.
