Owensboro RiverDawgs Falls To Henderson Flash After Sixth Inning Score
Owensboro RiverDawgs stayed in it until the end, but Henderson Flash pulled away late in a 13-6 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at six with Henderson Flash batting in the top of the sixth when Nick Wimber singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Despite the loss, Owensboro RiverDawgs did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Henderson Flash had 11 hits on the way to victory.
Owensboro RiverDawgs took an early lead in the first inning when Nick Williams doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
After Henderson Flash scored one run in the top of the third, Owensboro RiverDawgs answered with one of their own. Henderson Flash scored when Ben Berenda singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Owensboro RiverDawgs then answered when EJ Clark grounded out, scoring one run.
Henderson Flash took the lead for good with six runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Berenda drew a walk, scoring one run, Kyle LaVanchy drew a walk, scoring one run, Colton Evans was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Casey Sorg singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.
