Madisonville Miners couldn't keep up with Dubois County Bombers and fell 18-5 on Saturday.

Madisonville Miners captured the lead in the second inning. An error scored one run for Madisonville Miners.

Dubois County Bombers took the lead for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Terrick Thompson homered on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs and Chase Taylor homered on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Madisonville Miners notched three runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from a home run by Gavin Kriegel and an error on a ball put in play by Ty Foree.

Dubois County Bombers scored six runs in the eighth inning. Dubois County Bombers big bats were led by Xander Willis, Thompson, and Dustin DuPont, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Braden Pickett took the win for Dubois County Bombers. Pickett went five innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out seven, and walking one. Weston Allen threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Allen recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.

Devon Foster took the loss for Madisonville Miners. Foster went three and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on 11 hits and striking out five.

Madisonville Miners hit one home run on the day. Kriegel went for the long ball in the second inning.

Luke Mitchell went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Madisonville Miners in hits.

Dubois County Bombers tallied 17 hits in the game. Cade Gudalis, Camden Gasser, Thompson, and Willis all had multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Gudalis led Dubois County Bombers with four hits in six at-bats.
