Madisonville Miners Fall To The Paducah Chiefs

Madisonville Miners took an early lead in the first inning when Gavin Kriegel doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.

Paducah Chiefs knotted the game up at five in the top of the fourth inning, when Kyler Carmack singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs took the lead for good with one run in the fifth inning. In the fifth Slater Schield singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Payton Henley led the Paducah Chiefs to victory on the hill. The hurler went five innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out four. Will Hudson and Austin Long entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Hudson recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Paducah Chiefs.

Slaide Naturman took the loss for Madisonville Miners. The righty lasted two and a third innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out four and walking one.

Matthew Wrinkle started the game for Paducah Chiefs. Wrinkle lasted one-third of an inning, allowing two hits and four runs Joe Peca started the game for Madisonville Miners. The lefty lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out four

James Basham, Jackson Owen, Kriegel, and Ty Foree each collected one hit to lead Madisonville Miners.

Paducah Chiefs totaled 12 hits in the game. Colby Morse, Carmack, and Garrett Smith all collected multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Morse led Paducah Chiefs with three hits in four at-bats. Paducah Chiefs was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Cal Cook had the most chances in the field with six.
