Owensboro RiverDawgs Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Owensboro RiverDawgs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 19-6 loss to Fulton Railroaders on Monday. Fulton Railroaders scored on a groundout by Ryan Lee in the first inning and a fielder's choice by Tennessee Carranza in the second inning.

Owensboro RiverDawgs collected 11 hits and Fulton Railroaders had 18 in the high-scoring affair.

Fulton Railroaders fired up the offense in the first inning. Lee grounded out, scoring one run.

Owensboro RiverDawgs tallied three runs in the third inning. Owensboro RiverDawgs put the pressure on, lead by doubles by Daaelin Adderley and Jacob White and a sac fly by Logan Bland.

Fulton Railroaders scored five runs in the ninth inning. Jackson Shoulders, Braxton Baird, and Wesley Mann all drove in runs in the frame.

Brooks Cooner took the win for Fulton Railroaders. The ace lasted five innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out two. Jack Roney and Sam Cooper entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Brandon Davis took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. Davis allowed eight hits and eight runs over three and a third innings, striking out two.

Owensboro RiverDawgs tallied one home run on the day. Johnathon Lawson put one out in the seventh inning.
