Despite Fewer Hits, Henderson Flash Beats Muhlenberg County Stallions

Muhlenberg County Stallions out-hit Henderson Flash nine to seven, but it wasn't enough in an 8-4 loss on Saturday

Muhlenberg County Stallions got things moving in the first inning. Muhlenberg County Stallions scored two runs when Mack Clark homered.

Henderson Flash pulled away for good with six runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Nick Wimber singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Henderson Flash, Payton Matthews singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs, and Zach Thomas doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.

Nick Coleman got the win for Henderson Flash. Coleman lasted three innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out five. Adam Weihe threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Noah Waltz took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. Waltz allowed five hits and six runs over one inning, striking out one and walking zero.

Kobe Matsen started the game for Henderson Flash. The right-hander allowed three hits and three runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one Jeremy Levine started the game for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The pitcher went four innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out one

Muhlenberg County Stallions tallied one home run on the day. Clark went for the long ball in the first inning.

Garrison Goins went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Muhlenberg County Stallions in hits.

Henderson Flash was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Ben Berenda made the most plays with 11.
