Madisonville Miners scores more runs than Louisville Jockeys, takes victory on Saturday to the tune of 7-2

In the first inning, Madisonville Miners got their offense started when Jackson Lindsey singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.

Devon Foster earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Madisonville Miners. The left-hander lasted six innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out seven. Brayden Siren and Joel Connors entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Cody Medley took the loss for Louisville Jockeys. The pitcher allowed seven hits and six runs over one inning, striking out one.

Madisonville Miners tallied 13 hits in the game. Luke Mitchell, James Basham, Lindsey, and Evan Liddie each managed multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Mitchell led Madisonville Miners with three hits in three at bats. Madisonville Miners didn't commit a single error in the field. Parker Kauffmann had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team.
