Muhlenberg County Stallions Drops Game To Dubois County Bombers After Late Score
Muhlenberg County Stallions stayed in it until the end, but Dubois County Bombers pulled away late in a 3-2 victory on Thursday. The game was tied at two with Dubois County Bombers batting in the top of the eighth when Kail Hill threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Dubois County Bombers.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Dubois County Bombers pitchers struck out six, while Muhlenberg County Stallions sat down nine.
Grant Stratton led the Dubois County Bombers to victory on the pitcher's mound. Stratton lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out four. Cory Anderson and Ben Aird entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Aird recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.
Hill took the loss for Muhlenberg County Stallions. The pitcher allowed one hit and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
