Hoptown Hoppers Holds Onto Victory As Fulton Railroaders Almost Erases 7-Run Deficit

Despite seeing its seven-run lead whittled down by the end, Hoptown Hoppers still held off Fulton Railroaders for a 10-9 victory on Sunday. Fulton Railroaders scored nine runs in the failed comeback on an error in the fourth, a double by Aiden Cloud in the fourth, a double by Braxton Baird in the fifth, a double by Grant Davis in the fifth, a double by Wesley Mann in the fifth, a single by Landon Rogers in the ninth, and a in the ninth.

Bats blistered as Hoptown Hoppers collected 11 hits and Fulton Railroaders tallied ten in the high-scoring game.

Hoptown Hoppers fired up the offense in the first inning, when Luis Vergara-Schoonewolf doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Fulton Railroaders scored four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Fulton Railroaders was led by Baird, Davis, and Mann, all driving in runs in the inning.

Arren Hash took the win for Hoptown Hoppers. Hash surrendered two runs on one hit over four and a third innings, striking out six. Aaron Moss threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Ryan Evans took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. The bulldog allowed three hits and six runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Marcus Goodpaster started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. The righthander surrendered three runs on four hits over four innings, striking out three

Ren Tachioka led Hoptown Hoppers with four hits in five at bats.

Fulton Railroaders collected ten hits on the day. Mann, Rogers, and Baird each racked up multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders.
