Four Henderson Flash Pitchers Team Up In Shutout Victory Against Madisonville Miners
Henderson Flash defeated Madisonville Miners 4-0 on Saturday as four pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Brady Joyner struck out Kareh Valentin to finish off the game.
A single by Evan Liddie in the first inning was a positive for Madisonville Miners.
Nolan Patterson got the win for Henderson Flash. Patterson lasted one and one-third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. J.D. Willis and Joyner entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Joyner recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Henderson Flash.
Joe Peca took the loss for Madisonville Miners. The southpaw surrendered two runs on two hits over four and a third innings, striking out five.
Zach Thomas started the game for Henderson Flash. The righty allowed three hits and zero runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one
Trevor Campbell went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Henderson Flash in hits. Henderson Flash was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Grant Mangrum had the most chances in the field with ten.
Liddie led Madisonville Miners with three hits in four at-bats.
