Franklin Duelers Holds Off Henderson Flash For Victory

Franklin Duelers built a four-run lead in the second inning and then held off Henderson Flash's charge for a 6-5 victory on Wednesday. Henderson Flash scored four runs in the failed comeback on a double by Casey Sorg in the fourth, a single by Colton Evans in the ninth, and a fielder's choice by Lincoln Hackim in the ninth.

Franklin Duelers got things moving in the second inning, when Tre'en Dorsett drew a walk, scoring one run.

Nate Cunningham earned the victory on the mound for Franklin Duelers. The hurler lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero. Liam Samuels and Jacob Lassiat entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Lassiat recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Franklin Duelers.

Nick Coleman took the loss for Henderson Flash. The southpaw lasted one and one-third innings, allowing one hit and four runs while striking out one.
