Madisonville Miners lost the lead late in a 12-8 defeat to Hoptown Hoppers on Tuesday. The game was tied at eight with Hoptown Hoppers batting in the top of the eighth when an error scored one run for Hoptown Hoppers.

Despite the loss, Madisonville Miners did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Hoptown Hoppers had 11 hits on the way to victory.

Madisonville Miners got on the board in the first inning. Kobe Jones hit a solo homer.

Madisonville Miners tallied five runs in the third inning. Madisonville Miners big bats were led by Jackson Lindsey, Jake O'Connell, and Norman Leon, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Hoptown Hoppers scored six runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Hoptown Hoppers was led by Drew Donaldson, Edmundo Alanis, Fred Fernandez, and Luis Vergara-Schoonewolf, all driving in runs in the inning.

JP Fox took the loss for Madisonville Miners. Fox surrendered four runs on one hit over one-third of an inning, striking out one.
