Hoptown Hoppers Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Paducah Chiefs

Hoptown Hoppers took the lead late and defeated Paducah Chiefs 5-3 on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Hoptown Hoppers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Ren Tachioka tripled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Hoptown Hoppers took the lead for good with two runs in the sixth inning.

Zach Duenas earned the victory on the mound for Hoptown Hoppers. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out eight. Aaron Moss threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Moss recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Hoptown Hoppers.

Jonathan Barnes took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. The righty surrendered three runs on four hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one.

Matthew Wrinkle started the game for Paducah Chiefs. The lefthander surrendered two runs on three hits over four and a third innings, striking out two

Joshua Rodriguez led Hoptown Hoppers with three hits in five at-bats.

Slater Shield went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits. Paducah Chiefs was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Krayton Morse had the most chances in the field with seven.
