Muhlenberg County Stallions Takes The Win Over Dubois County Bombers
Muhlenberg County Stallions defeated Dubois County Bombers 8-4 on Tuesday.
Muhlenberg County Stallions got things started in the second inning. Eric Hartless singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.
In the top of the fourth inning, Dubois County Bombers tied things up at two when Chase Taylor singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.
After Dubois County Bombers scored two runs in the top of the seventh, Muhlenberg County Stallions answered with two of their own. Dubois County Bombers scored when Drew Taylor grounded out, scoring one run and an error scored one run for Dubois County Bombers. Muhlenberg County Stallions then answered when Nick Lucido singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Muhlenberg County Stallions pulled away for good with three runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Andy Baker doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Eli Burkhart doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, and Kevin Sosa singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
Dom Pieto took the win for Muhlenberg County Stallions. Pieto lasted six innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out four. Peyton Burton threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
