Hoptown Hoppers Holds Onto Victory As Fulton Railroaders Almost Erases 4-Run Deficit

Despite seeing its four-run lead whittled down by the end, Hoptown Hoppers still held off Fulton Railroaders for a 6-5 victory on Tuesday. Fulton Railroaders scored three runs on a double in the seventh inning.

Hoptown Hoppers earned the victory despite allowing Fulton Railroaders to score three runs in the seventh inning. Fulton Railroaders scored their runs on a double by Patrick Music.

In the first inning, Fulton Railroaders got their offense started when Britt Netterville grounded out, scoring one run.

Grant Golomb was the winning pitcher for Hoptown Hoppers. The righty went five and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out nine. Price Watson and Peyton Hart entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Watson recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Hoptown Hoppers.

Jordyn Naranjo took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. The lefty surrendered six runs on seven hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Tyler McLaren started the game for Hoptown Hoppers. The righthander went one-third of an inning, allowing two runs on one hit and walking one

Hoptown Hoppers launched one home run on the day. Landon Choboy had a homer in the fifth inning.

Hoptown Hoppers tallied nine hits in the game. Choboy and Benjamin (B.J.) Banyon all managed multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Choboy led Hoptown Hoppers with four hits in five at bats.

Music went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Fulton Railroaders in hits.
