Dubois County Bombers Defeats Hoptown Hoppers, 6-4

Dubois County Bombers took home a 6-4 victory over Hoptown Hoppers on Sunday.

Dubois County Bombers opened up scoring in the first inning. Dubois County Bombers scored one run when Mason White singled.

Dubois County Bombers tallied three runs in the second inning. Ben Wilcoxson, Guy Lipscomb, and White each had RBIs in the frame.

Brennan Murphy got the win for Dubois County Bombers. The righthander lasted eight innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out five and walking one. Brett Walton and Carter Stamm entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Stamm recorded the last out to earn the save for Dubois County Bombers.

Grant Golomb took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. The right-hander went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out three.

Dubois County Bombers tallied nine hits on the day. Lipscomb and White all collected multiple hits for Dubois County Bombers. Lipscomb led Dubois County Bombers with four hits in four at bats.

Landon Choboy went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Hoptown Hoppers in hits.
