Madisonville Miners Takes Victory Over Paducah Chiefs In A High-Scoring Affair

Madisonville Miners bested Paducah Chiefs in a high-scoring affair, 14-9.

Paducah Chiefs got things moving in the first inning, when Adam Brian doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Madisonville Miners pulled away for good with three runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Corbin Hayden induced Justin Ramirez to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored and Brennen Hunt homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Madisonville Miners scored four runs in the eighth inning. The offensive firepower by Madisonville Miners was led by Will Cline, Ramirez, and Calyn Halvorson, who all drove in runs.

Paducah Chiefs scored three runs in the seventh inning. Cade Rogers and Bryce Haas all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Nick Lallathin took the win for Madisonville Miners. The lefty allowed ten hits and six runs over six and a third innings, striking out three and walking one. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Myles MartinezGavin Knust, Todd Bangston, and Hunter Davis all securing outs and ultimately the victory.

Hayden took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. The southpaw allowed seven hits and eight runs over five and a third innings, striking out five.

Madisonville Miners smacked five home runs on the day. Hunt went yard in the fifth inning. Ramirez put one out in the third inning. Cline had a long ball in the eighth inning. Halvorson had a dinger in the eighth inning. Brennon Williams had a long ball in the sixth inning.

Madisonville Miners racked up 14 hits. Halvorson, Reed Latimer, Ramirez, Evan Liddie, and Will Gibbs each managed multiple hits for Madisonville Miners. Gibbs, Liddie, Ramirez, Latimer, and Halvorson all had two hits to lead Madisonville Miners.

Paducah Chiefs racked up 14 hits in the game. Riley HawthorneBrant Brown, Brian, and Haas all had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Hawthorne went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits.
