Fulton Railroaders Drops Game To Franklin Duelers After Late Score

Fulton Railroaders stayed in it until the end, but Franklin Duelers pulled away late in a 10-6 victory on Friday. The game was tied at five with Franklin Duelers batting in the top of the sixth when Austin Ehren doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Despite the loss, Fulton Railroaders did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Franklin Duelers had 13 hits on the way to victory.

Franklin Duelers fired up the offense in the second inning, when Benny Hymes hit a solo homer.

In the top of the fifth inning, Franklin Duelers tied things up at five when Franklin Duelers scored one run on a stolen base.

Franklin Duelers took the lead for good with two runs in the sixth inning.

Fulton Railroaders tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Fulton Railroaders's big inning was driven by home runs by Alex Langford and Webster Walls and a sacrifice fly by Patrick Music.

Franklin Duelers scored three runs in the ninth inning. The big inning for Franklin Duelers came thanks to home runs by Davis Burick and Luis Perez.

Joseph Delgado earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Franklin Duelers. The ace lasted three innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three. Denton Lee threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Jordyn Naranjo took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. Naranjo surrendered seven runs on ten hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Hunter Cooper started the game for Franklin Duelers. The fireballer allowed six hits and five runs over four innings, striking out three

Fulton Railroaders socked two home runs on the day. Langford went deep in the fourth inning. Walls went for the long ball in the fourth inning.

Fulton Railroaders collected 11 hits. Music, Langford, and Jarret Fowlkes each managed multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders. Music went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Fulton Railroaders in hits.

Franklin Duelers tallied 13 hits on the day. Hymes, Carter Vrable, Perez, and Ehren each collected multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Hymes led Franklin Duelers with three hits in five at bats. Franklin Duelers didn't commit a single error in the field. Jacob Curtis had the most chances in the field with eight.
