Early Lead For Henderson Flash Seals Fate For Hoptown Hoppers

Hoptown Hoppers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-4 loss to Henderson Flash on Friday. Henderson Flash scored on a double by Nick Rucker in the first inning, a error in the first inning, a stolen base by Santrel Farmer in the second inning, and a single by Andrew Dalton in the second inning.

In the bottom of the first inning, Hoptown Hoppers tied things up at two. Landon Choboy's sac fly scored one run for Hoptown Hoppers.

Henderson Flash pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Farmer grounded out, scoring one run and Dalton singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Gavin Braunneker led the Henderson Flash to victory on the hill. The southpaw went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out five. Ethan Shafer and Dylan Beier entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Jackson Lyons took the loss for Hoptown Hoppers. The righthander went five innings, allowing five runs on nine hits and striking out four.

Hoptown Hoppers racked up eight hits in the game. Alex Gonzales and Jake Parr all managed multiple hits for Hoptown Hoppers. Parr and Gonzales all had two hits to lead Hoptown Hoppers.

Henderson Flash scattered 13 hits in the game. Dalton, Trey HutchisonBrandon Daniels, and Adam Depkewicz each racked up multiple hits for Henderson Flash. Dalton led Henderson Flash with four hits in five at bats. Henderson Flash didn't commit a single error in the field. Depkewicz had eight chances in the field, the most on the team. Henderson Flash stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Ryan Dos Santos led the way with four.
