Dubois County Bombers Drops Game To Franklin Duelers After Late Score

Thursday's game against Franklin Duelers was a heartbreaker for Dubois County Bombers, as they lost the lead late in a 10-3 defeat. The game was tied at two with Franklin Duelers batting in the top of the sixth when Carter Vrable was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.

The Dubois County Bombers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Franklin Duelers, giving up ten runs.

In the first inning, Franklin Duelers got their offense started. Luis Perez drove in one when Perez singled.

Franklin Duelers took the lead for good with one run in the sixth inning. In the sixth Vrable was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.

Franklin Duelers scored four runs in the eighth inning. The big inning for Franklin Duelers came thanks to a walk by Perez, a sacrifice fly by Hunter Grey, and a double by Davis Burick.

Tanner Morgan took the win for Franklin Duelers. The hurler allowed six hits and two runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Steven Hayden threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Hayden recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for Franklin Duelers.

Max Manning took the loss for Dubois County Bombers. The lefthander allowed one hit and four runs over two and a third innings, striking out one.

Weston Allen started the game for Dubois County Bombers. The pitcher went four innings, allowing two runs on five hits

Payton Hall went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Dubois County Bombers in hits.

Franklin Duelers racked up ten hits. Alex Miller, Perez, and Burick each had multiple hits for Franklin Duelers. Miller led Franklin Duelers with three hits in six at bats.
