Owensboro RiverDawgs got things moving in the first inning when Brady Bibbs induced Cam Curry to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Paducah Chiefs pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Tony Barrera induced Reid Homan to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run was scored.

Owensboro RiverDawgs tallied three runs in the ninth inning. The offensive firepower by Owensboro RiverDawgs was led by Kobe Stephens, Jakob Shuler, and Austin Peterson, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Bibbs earned the win for Paducah Chiefs. He allowed two hits and one run over seven innings, striking out two. Tanner Smith and Isaiah Glidden entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Smith recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Paducah Chiefs.

Barrera took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He surrendered six runs on six hits over five innings, striking out five.

Stephens, Matt Jewell, Peterson, Nick Sanders, and P.J. Barry each collected one hit to lead Owensboro RiverDawgs.
