Paducah Chiefs Claims Victory Over Owensboro RiverDawgs
Paducah Chiefs took home a 5-1 victory over Owensboro RiverDawgs on Sunday.
Paducah Chiefs got things started in the first inning when Blake Johnson doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.
Mason Vineyard was the winning pitcher for Paducah Chiefs. He went six and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out five. Isaiah Glidden threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Glidden recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for Paducah Chiefs.
Thomas Cessna took the loss for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He surrendered four runs on eight hits over four innings, striking out three.
Paducah Chiefs racked up 12 hits. Peyton Sockwell, Tyler Hubbard, Andrew Lannon, and Johnson all collected multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Sockwell led Paducah Chiefs with four hits in five at-bats.
Bryce Walker went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Owensboro RiverDawgs in hits.
