Paducah Chiefs Defeats Muhlenberg County Stallions Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning

Paducah Chiefs weathered a scare by Muhlenberg County Stallions in the third inning where Paducah Chiefs coughed up three runs, but Paducah Chiefs still won 10-3 on Saturday. Andrew Patterson, Javy Lopez, and Michael Brown each had RBIs in the frame.

Paducah Chiefs got things moving in the second inning when an error scored two runs for Paducah Chiefs.

Paducah Chiefs took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Peyton Sockwell singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run, Brandon Kelly singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run, Kaelin Woodard induced Nick Shumaker to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Andrew Lannon drew a walk, scoring one run.

JC Goins led the Paducah Chiefs to victory on the hill. He lasted three and a third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out two. Matthew Jacome, Teal Young, and Logan Bowen all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team toward victory.

Woodard was on the pitcher's mound for Muhlenberg County Stallions. He allowed six hits and six runs over four innings, striking out six. Andrew Sharp and Tyler Mattes entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and one inning respectively.
