Owensboro RiverDawgs Drops Game To Hoptown Hoppers After Late Score

Owensboro RiverDawgs lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat to Hoptown Hoppers on Friday. The game was tied at two with Hoptown Hoppers batting in the top of the eleventh when Nick Proto hit a solo homer.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Hoptown Hoppers' pitchers struck out 17, while Owensboro RiverDawgs sat down 13.

In the second inning, Owensboro RiverDawgs got their offense started. Owensboro RiverDawgs scored one run when Matt Jewell singled.

In the top of the eighth inning, Hoptown Hoppers tied things up at two when MJ Rookard laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.

Hoptown Hoppers smacked two home runs on the day. Proto had a dinger in the eleventh inning. Rookard had a homer in the sixth inning.
