Henderson Flash built a six-run lead in the seventh inning and then held off Madisonville Miners's charge for a 9-7 victory on Thursday. Madisonville Miners scored four runs in the failed comeback on a double by Nate Chevalier and a double by Graham Hackbarth.

Madisonville Miners scored four runs in the eighth inning, but Henderson Flash still managed to pull out the victory. Chevalier and Hackbarth powered the big inning with RBIs.

In the first inning, Madisonville Miners got their offense started. Sean Kearney grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in one run.

Dillon Day was the winning pitcher for Henderson Flash. He surrendered one run on two hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one. Chaz Adams, Trey Congleton, and Matthew Craven all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team toward victory. Congleton recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Henderson Flash.

Hayden Seay took the loss for Madisonville Miners. He allowed two hits and four runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two.
