Paducah Chiefs Can't Catch Up To Henderson Flash

Paducah Chiefs watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-5 loss to Henderson Flash on Friday. Henderson Flash scored on a single by Zach Smith, a single by Bradley Gray, and an error in the first inning.

Paducah Chiefs lost despite out-hitting Henderson Flash 11 to eight.

Henderson Flash got things started in the first inning. Smith singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Trevor Nicholson was credited with the victory for Henderson Flash. He allowed seven hits and four runs over five innings, striking out four. Kelly Jones threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen. Jones recorded the last 12 outs to earn the save for Henderson Flash.

Stone Selby took the loss for Paducah Chiefs. He lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and nine runs while striking out three.

Paducah Chiefs racked up 11 hits on the day. Nick Shumaker and Brandon Kelly each racked up multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Shumaker led Paducah Chiefs with three hits in five at-bats.

Henderson Flash totaled eight hits. Smith, Gray, and Nolan Fertig each collected multiple hits for Henderson Flash.
