Paducah Chiefs Defeats Fulton Railroaders In High-Scoring Game, 13-6

Both Paducah Chiefs and Fulton Railroaders had their offenses going on Saturday, but Paducah Chiefs eventually prevailed 13-6.

Fulton Railroaders got things started in the second inning when Sam Stohr homered on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the second inning, Paducah Chiefs tied things up at two when Peyton Sockwell drew a walk, scoring one run.

Paducah Chiefs pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning.

Paducah Chiefs scored five runs in the eighth inning. Paducah Chiefs' big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Clayton Stephens and Kyle Antos, a single by Nick Shumaker, and a double by Blake Johnson.

Fulton Railroaders scored three runs in the sixth inning. Jack Gallagher and Stohr each had RBIs in the frame.

Caleb Reinhardt led the Paducah Chiefs to victory on the hill. He went six innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out four. Brady Bibbs, John Dowless, and Isaiah Glidden all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Brian Baxa took the loss for Fulton Railroaders. He went two innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out three.

Paducah Chiefs tallied 13 hits in the game. Antos, Tyler Hubbard, Shumaker, Kevin Brenning, and Stephens each had multiple hits for Paducah Chiefs. Antos went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Paducah Chiefs in hits. Paducah Chiefs tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Shumaker led the way with two.

Fulton Railroaders collected five hits. Gallagher and Stohr each managed multiple hits for Fulton Railroaders.
