Dubois County Bombers got on the board in the first inning when Nick Gonzales hit a solo homer.
Owensboro RiverDawgs pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Spencer Deom doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Colton Easterwood induced Kobe Stephens to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Austin Peterson singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.
Cam Curry was the winning pitcher for Owensboro RiverDawgs. He surrendered three runs on six hits over eight innings, striking out nine. Tony Barrera threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
